Grading
Our Grading
We want you to know what you're buying before it arrives. Every piece of preloved clothing is checked and graded by our team based on its overall condition.
Because preloved clothing has had a life before Bulco, some signs of wear should always be expected. Our grading system helps you understand the condition of the stock and choose the right bundles for your business.
Grade A
Our best preloved condition. These pieces are ready to resell and should show little to no noticeable wear. Minor signs of previous use may still be present, but there should be no significant stains, holes or damage.
Grade B
Good, wearable clothing with more noticeable signs of previous use. This can include light marks, fading, bobbling, minor staining, small pulls or other cosmetic imperfections. Many Grade B pieces can still be sold as they are, while others may benefit from a little cleaning or attention.
Grade C
Heavily worn clothing with obvious faults. This can include staining, holes, missing buttons, damaged zips, heavier fading, significant wear or other defects. Grade C is best suited to resellers who are happy to clean, repair, customise, upcycle or sell lower-grade clothing.
Broken / Fabric Grade
Clothing that we don't consider suitable for normal resale in its current condition. Pieces may be heavily damaged, torn, permanently stained or otherwise beyond economical repair. This grade is primarily intended for fabric recovery, recycling, upcycling, patchwork, rags and creative projects.
A quick note about preloved stock
Grading second-hand clothing isn't an exact science, so there can occasionally be differences of opinion between graders. We aim to grade consistently and fairly, and where we sell mixed-grade bundles, the expected grade or grade mix will always be clearly stated in the product description.
Our goal is simple, no mystery about the quality, no unrealistic expectations, just properly graded stock you can buy with confidence.
